Octopus in Kelp Forest

Watercolor Illustration

Medium: Watercolor on coldpress paper.

Description: Many species of octopus can change their skin color and texture to camouflage themselves or frighten away a predator. The octopus in this painting is doing the latter, by turning mostly white with splashes of bright red and darting off through the kelp.
